Walk-up kayaking on the Hudson, completely free — the volunteer-run Downtown Boathouse provides the kayak, paddle and life vest for ~20-minute paddles in a protected embayment. First-come, first-served, no reservations; you must know how to swim; kids welcome with a guardian.
